why not do both?
Have two transformations for naruto

Do like D^JA and he can transform to sage mode
Then doing the same thing in sage mode will go to 6 tailed kyuubi
It might be a bit of work but it'll be fucking cool

Also, cus sage mode and 6 tailed is amazingly OP, you should do it so you chakra constantly drains, slowly for sage, quicker for 6tailed

u remember when naruto was vs nagato ?
he was sage and he had the eyes of kyubi or sumthing like
we can have both skills ^^ like D>v^A is sage's skills and D>v^J is kyubi skills
